# Simple Text for After Effects

Simple Text creates controllers based on shape layers to create text animations. It was developed to be simple, you will use tools you already know from After Effects to create your text animation.

## ​ :raised\_hands: Create text animations in 3 steps

1. **Convert your text layer**. Select the text layer and apply **Simple Text**.
2. **Create your animation**. Use the shape layer to create the animation.
3. **Define the type of delay and the time**. You can choose different types of delay and the entry time between the letters.
